You never know who you’ll run into each day. Or what will be awaiting you in the coming hours. But it’s precisely these moments of unexpected value that determine the course of our lives. The simplest of questions can elicit the greatest of changes.
That one conversation that leads to a career changing decision, adjusting one aspect in a workout routine that finally delivers desired results, or that first glance that begins a lifetime of love. This is what we’re supposed to seek. This is how we create a lifestory. By interacting with the world born of our decisions in the manner of our established virtues, every chance encounter has the potential to change our lives, for better or for worse.
Life is an entanglement of relations that, from each node, parameterize the sphere within which we are influenced and inspired. Like an electric fence enclosing the reality of our daily lives, how those relationships are conducted determines whether those influences and inspirations are positively or negatively impacting upon us. We have no control over how others feel, speak, or act but through honest and positive intentions from us to them, how those intentions are respected allows us to properly ascertain whether or not it’s in our best interest to maintain that relationship.
How do you feel when you are around a certain group of people? Delighted, disarmed, and desired? Or distressed, divided, and defensive? The former facilitates the longevity of grace and good faith, while the latter inevitably implodes from crude offenses. But sometimes it’s not an easy severance if you’re mixed within a messy web of negative influences and unhealthy relationships. Fear and uncertainty stop many from making the cut with the fear of loneliness and the uncertainty of continued stability/well-being being the main hesitation and hindrance.
And as of right now, the only anecdotes I’ve learned that assists in building the courage to take the next step is faith and acceptance, for faith is the only force strong enough to outpace fear and acceptance is the only way to embrace the unknown.
Above reason and outside the realm of thought is where intuition gains its knowledge. It knows more than we can think and senses more than we can understand. Certain people, places, and events can leave us feeling something we can’t explain, but on impulse we act. You reflect deeper by weighing different alternatives and reach a new conclusion you could have never conceptualized, or are hit with a sudden desire to call someone that breaks ground toward a life-changing moment, or feel moved beyond delay to begin a radical movement for a new-found cause.
So have faith that something bigger and better exists for you. Accept that every opportunity that you are called upon to act is a chance to increase the potentiality that your success will arrive. Prepare for the arrival of your success every morning because you never know who you’ll run into each day.
